Manipulator handles greyed out

Hey all,

I've been away from MAYA for a while and opened up a project that someone else was working on. Unfortunately I can't move, rotate or scale a certain object because the manipulator handles are all greyed out. I tried using the Reset Transformations option but that didn't do anything.

If anyone can assist I'd really appreciate it.

Sounds like they are locked, which is generally what happends when something is rigged. If it's not using a skeleton or something, you can unlock it by selecting the greyed out channels and right clicking and choosing Unlock Selected from the menu that appears.
