Maya 2020 fundamentals - modelling the real world
Get halfway through a model and find it's an unworkable mess? Can't add edge loops where you need them? Can't subdivide a mesh properly? If any of this sounds familiar check this course out.

Spunky, good start, but now it's time to focus on the details. To make a car's lines look convincing, you've got to focus on the edges. Every single divider between every panel section on the vehicle should have at least 3 extremely close edges together to be able to get the correct curvature on the panel edge. Use a real car (any car will do, you don't have to see the actual car you're modeling) to get a physical impression of what these edges should look like in real life, and then apply them to your model. I know it's a real pain to go through your entire model and make the adjustments, but it'll make the difference between your car looking obviously CG, and approaching reality.

wow! that looks really good!

I can't wait until I have the free time to learn how to model like that, but for now I will have to focus on animation of my cartoony characters

wow! that so cool
