This course will look at the fundamentals of modeling in Maya with an emphasis on creating good topology. We'll look at what makes a good model in Maya and why objects are modeled in the way they are.
I don't know where you could find a spoon tutorial, but (if you haven't done that already) you can do the tutorials in the maya help. It's not a spoon, it is a hammer. But it deals with building a simple shape out of a polygonal cube. You could just apply the techniques you learn and make the spoon afterwards.
The handle looks a bit odd but, i tried a spoon the other day and i couldnt get the actual scoop part right so i eventually gave up, anyone have any techniques?
