For the bloodcell shading, you might want to start with a sampler info node (facing ratio) > (blender) blender node (output) > (outColor) blinn. The items in parentheses are attributes for each node and it's placement basically shows where it gets plugged in. This network will give you an x-ray/electron microscope effect.
