Maya 2020 fundamentals - modelling the real world
Get halfway through a model and find it's an unworkable mess? Can't add edge loops where you need them? Can't subdivide a mesh properly? If any of this sounds familiar check this course out.

Building go boom

this is a simple problem but i dunno if theres an easier way to do this. Ok im making a music video that basically the setting is a urban warzone the buildings have been/are being bombed etc. now wat i want to do is model the buildings as a whole and them take some of the in half and others i just need to go boom. I know lightwave has a plugin called "crackit" for those kinds of things but i was wondering if there was anything like that in maya or if i had to do it manually or just convert to nurbs(which totally kills my computer)

Either use a field affecting the rigid bodies or use particles to collide with the debris
