Complex UV Layout in Maya
Over the last couple of years UV layout in Maya has changed for the better. In this course we're going to be taking a look at some of those changes as we UV map an entire character

Huge Dump Truck

Hello!
I'm finaly finished (almost) with a personal project I've worked on the past few months user added image
There is still some small things that needs alittle fixing though user added image

It's rendered in Mental Ray an took 32 mins.

Cool! When you get it sorted to what you want, you should dirty it up a bit, to get that worn look.

agreed it iws very clean for a dump truck. But the model is great

looks very good ..i like it ..now just put alot of mud and maybe some hot construction chics heheh user added image

Ha ha - great work arneoog - I like this a lot. Definitely agree that some mud will help really pull this together. I also think that the ground plane is not looking quite right - It sort of looks like it's sitting at the edge of the cliff. Also, there seems to be a problem with the shadow of the clump of grass in the foreground.

I see that you guys want Dirt and Mud, and I'll maybe add that...
If I'm able to... hehe, pretty high amount of polys user added image 500'000 or so...
Will be kinda slow to UV map user added image

arran, The truck is supose to be on a cliff user added image
I may create some more interesting background though user added image
The grass is actually floating over the ground, hehe
Stupid mistake there :p
