Good First Attempt.

Color of the sun seems a bit off to me maybe that's giving the effect of it being slightly non circular, could be the noise too. Did you use a RAMP Shader? For me I would have and put the colors to orange, yellow and then black.

Maybe some subtle effects off of the surface of the sun to create the constant flares, and a lens flare. Just ideas...
