portfolio question?

I was wondering when you complete random tutorials online or from books or dvds etc, can you put the finished work in your portfolio? Do you have to get permission? i wasnt sure how this worked.

Normally the work you do on tutorials can be placed into you DemoReel/Portfolio.

There are no issues with this, but you should be aware that you should only put your best work into a portfolio, and any tutorials you do should be stated as such...

By that I mean you would mark each image as either:
Personal Project
Challenge Project
Tutorial Work
Course Work
etc... etc... etc...

Your Portfolio is what would land you a job... With that in mind it should shine out...
