Get halfway through a model and find it's an unworkable mess? Can't add edge loops where you need them? Can't subdivide a mesh properly? If any of this sounds familiar check this course out.
Hey guys, just a question here about maya cloth. when you have modeled your guy out, fully rigged him up and made a t-shirt for him, just wondering when you animate him how do you get the tshirt to stay on his body while he is moving. also how do you make it so when he does an action like swing his arms, the t-shirt does not stretch to much or rip and cause choas or it dosnt do that at all.
can someone tell me how it is all done before i start doing it and end up in the lonely forests also if anyone one could hook me up with a site which is some how or kind of related to this issue... thanks,
Theres a book, maya secrets of the pro's that has some good tutorials on cloth on characters, ive not got it at the moment as a friend has it, but you might be able to get it from the library??
ohh that book, ived had my head around that book thinking should i buy it, looks like i will now. I really doubt that my local libary has it also my Main Shopping centres will because when i went there last time, they only had 3 books on maya :| but hopefully they have updated and if they dont have this book ill demand them to order it in :p thanks for the idea buddy,
The thing with cloth is you have a static pose a few seconds before your animation begins like 60 frames or so where your model dont move. This will allow your cloth sim to run and lay right hopefully before your character does his thing. Also cloth in maya is very touchy needs a lot of tweaking to get it to flow just right during the animation its self..
