This course will look in the fundamentals of modeling in Maya with an emphasis on creating good topology. It's aimed at people that have some modeling experience in Maya but are having trouble with
complex objects.
I was wonder how many of us have an account and portfolio with the CG Society as well as here?
I have recently singed up for one (ChrisMoss, is my logon), and took the great free portfolio. Its worth getting its easy to use and will take images up to and including 1600x1600 or a main image and thumbnails of 80x80.
So whoelse floats around the CG Society?

Yup, I have the full membership too. Its worth it as you get some good deals and discount there for books and software. I bought Zbrush from them, it was still cheaper than getting it from Pixologic themselves
I used to hate the place but it seems alot of the idiots have disbanded and moved to the another well known 3d site. You have some good people there moderating and giving advice, Steve Stahlberg, Kris 'Antropus' Costa, Jason Schleifer (not sure now) and also Leigh Van Der Byl (Top Female Texture artist)
I wouldnt say its above industry standard, as standards are always high anyway, its just the standard of the artists there, most who work in the industry anyway.
