Nuke Cloud need help

Hi I am trying to make a nuclear blast in maya 6.0. But I am having trouble creating the bomb and the cloud and the explosion. If any one has a tutorial or web site that’s not complicated please post it.

Thank you

Don't know if this will help you much RobbieDobbie, as it's a tutorial for Max.

It looks as though it should be pretty easy to translate to Maya, there's a couple of operations I'm not to sure of the equivalent for, but the workflow is all there and a couple of renders of the finished look.

Step 5 throws me a bit, but anyway, the tute is here.

Simon.

3d World did a maya tutorial on creating a nuclear explosion in maya using fluids and the colour was controled using the incandesance map (as per flame effects in maya fluids)

Like I said have a look in the Visor at the built in nuke and look at the settings that should get you started.

I think I may have that tute on the house from 3D World. I'll see if I can find it and scan it in. Get the mag if you can (£6 UK - so not cheap), but it is well worth it. Fantastic, and covers all the apps (inc Blender). If I finf the issue Ill let you know the issue number so you can buy it on Back Order.
