This course will look at the fundamentals of modeling in Maya with an emphasis on creating good topology. We'll look at what makes a good model in Maya and why objects are modeled in the way they are.

stuck with curves...

ok guys heres what i have, lost all my notes i had on this from class...how do i connect all the CV's? as u can see from my second monitor i had a tutorial open but what they said wasnt workin...i think this image will prolly be HUGE

what are you stuck on? rebuilding the curves? Once you've rebuilt a curve, it won't change if it's already straight. I haven't done that tutorial, but it looks like you didn't use enough points when you built the profile curves.

If you're just trying to build a surface from all of the curves, you could select them one by one in order and loft them (under surfaces).

what tutorial is that? - it looks interesting.

ok well one prob i just noticed as i opened maya today is that the curves arent showing? they are in the outliner...u can highlight them in there and zoom in on something but nothing visual...

you might have them hidden - try looking under the show menu in your view window and see if curves are unchecked. you could also select them in the hypergraph and backclick and choose show.....i think.

hmmm...not sure then - i'm still new to curves myself. you didn't put them into a layer did you?
