ok,i have all my rotation limits,now my joint wont bend when i apply IK...pls help...

after applying rotation limits to the joints in question....i applied ikrp to the joints...when i translated the goal,it moves,sure...BUT the elbow didnt bend....y? please help me...w/o the rotation limits,it works fine...weird it seems

Just take off the rotation limits on the elbow and set preferred angle on the elbow... say at 90 degrees

if i did that.....will the ik still be limited? is this more desirable? please show me the way....

where are the rotation limits? are they in the elbow to stop them bending the wrong way?
before you apply ur IK and all, just bend ur arm slightly (at the elbow) the direction it should bend, then right click, "set preferred angle"

nem: aaaah,ill try doing that :-)

btw...i found the reason y it isnt bending,i locked the oher axis y i thnk...when i unlocked it,it works fine...now i have a new prob...the foot joint twists a full 360 at the z axis :-) when i moved the ankle too high :-) i guess i need to redo the leg skelington:-)
