Maya for 3D Printing - Rapid Prototyping
In this course we're going to look at something a little different, creating technically accurate 3D printed parts.

Distorting when rotating a duplicate

Hi,

I'm modelling a hand and have just completed one finger on it. I've extracted the finger and duplicated it in order to make the others. On the duplicate, I centre toe pivot, and freeze transformations, but still it deforms when I rotate it. It stretches and warps.

Any ideas why?

thanks,

gubar.

Have you tried using "delete history"? If that dont work you can just use the orginal instead of the copy which should rotate correctly.

I hope that helped. user added image
