Changing viewport

i am in the middle of modelling a low poly character and i just tried to go to the top view port, but when i go to the 4 view port screen i have

persp, persp
front, side.

i tried going to each of the persp view ports and changing the view by going to view > predefined bookmarks > top but this changes both persp view ports to the top view.
It seems like i have somehow linked the two upper view ports.
Can anyone tell me how to change this so i can have

top, persp
front, side.

thanks... i hope that makes sense?

In the four view mode select the viewport you need to change and hold down the spacebar then left click in the center of the Maya text and while still holding the left mouse button drag to the view you need it to be and then let go of the mouse button.
