Introduction to Maya - Modeling Fundamentals Vol 2
This course will look in the fundamentals of modeling in Maya with an emphasis on creating good topology. It's aimed at people that have some modeling experience in Maya but are having trouble with complex objects.

shatter error

hi

im using maya 8.5 and i created a simple cube and applied a solid shatter to it. but i get an error saing


// Error: Wrong number of arguments on call to rotate.

anyone know why and how to achieve this?

did you delete the history first?

im following a blastcode tutorial to blow up a box. and part of the tutorial is to create a cube using curves.

i deleted the history, centered pivot and froze tranformations, then had to apply a solid shatter.

i got the above error.

i tried a surface shatter which works ok, but the tutorial has a solid shatter which i want to follow.

any help would be much appreciated

Blastcode only uses nurbs dosent it?

I'm not really up with nurbs or blastcode, bit creating a poly cube and converting it via sub'd's and then deleting history etc I dont get that error, I do get an error though saying that it came out unexpected (which it did) that was using the default values.

yeh your absolutely right gster. im following a tut.the box been created was using a NURBS curve.

i was jus trying and testing the shatter option in the (maya effects) menu with poly's AND NURBS as i was getting the same error.

HOWEVER, somehow problem solved.i restarted Maya and it worked. hhmmmm
