Maya 2020 fundamentals - modelling the real world
Get halfway through a model and find it's an unworkable mess? Can't add edge loops where you need them? Can't subdivide a mesh properly? If any of this sounds familiar check this course out.

Resource Lounge

hey All

Im just tinkering with the idea for a resources lounge on the forum somewhere, obviously I need to ask David to do it for you all. But I thought it could be a great way to share and post up links for textures and references etc. It will also help for when new dudes and dudettes turn up on the forum and need something to get them going on a project. I know most of us have places marked in our own personal browsers but just a thought for the site.

what do you think, a good or bad idea?

Jay

No doubt (unintentional Mythbusters reference)...

that would be sick, We could post up concepts we don't personally end up using too... it would be great!

Please David!

Jay,

Nice idea m8. And it will work well once simply3dworld is online. Adding items like shaders, textures, scripts, assets etc... Good for the tutorial projects so the assests of projects can be put online for download and bring down the size or parts of a download. I'm rambling, but it could work well.

You could expand it, so it becomes like the upload section or it could replace the upload section, so it can be more that it was.

Good idea,
It would definitely be a good time saver for getting references.

I really like the idea also Jay, but David might hold out for the new site to go online for that.
