time vs product

i was going to do the FX challenge but like many others there is so little time to take on such a challenge.., unless one would use it as a uni project and get crit here

anyway, in my research to do the FX challenge i ended up in quiet a few apps.., and 100 frames of animation

research of course was rigid and soft body dynamics.., i ended up with this as a simple end product.., not saying i would publish it.., perspective is out ect.., but interesting none the less to me. especially how long it took for so 'little'

o for the curious

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4yqWBWwtzB4

Real flow.., 1 hour
Maya 30 min and a 6 hour render
After effects 1 hr
Soundtrack pro 1 hour
Final cut 30 min
Compressor 30 min
After effects 20 min (again)

All for this, (btw, got the audio on..??) what a life eh.., no wonder there is no time.., and the production houses.., well the time taken just for this speaks for itself

cheers mirek

take it easy and life will be easy
