This course will look at the fundamentals of modeling in Maya with an emphasis on creating good topology. We'll look at what makes a good model in Maya and why objects are modeled in the way they are.

madlab texture problems

im having a problem while following the mad lab tutorial which ive had before aswell. having set up the refernce plain with the mad lab thumbnail sketch, any object i create theresfter also has the mad lab sketch on it. how do i stop this happening so that when i create new objects they just have the default lambert shader?

the problem you are having is because you put the med lab pic on the default shader.
Create a new lambert for your planes and make the default shader grey again.
