weird problem

My problem occurs only sometimes and i looked everywhere and found nothing maybe because it's a bit dificult to explain it too.When i switch to another view then the persp. view i can't use the scale and rotate tools because they don't appear ...the cubes resp the circles don't appear and it's very difficult to work.I hope i made my self understood.Thank You!

Hmm… sounds like your manipulator tools are just too big. Did you try using the +/- keys?

I've had the same thing happen to me a few times but don't remember what I did to fix it. For me, the manipulator looked as it would when you press the insert button, but it wouldn't do anything like you describe.

It could be a video card problem. Can you post up a screen?

Im pretty sure you need to go to each view and click view at the top left, click camera attributes, and in this sub menu you will see far clipping plane, switch it to about 100k or 1 mil. And also some short keys are W E and R for scale rotate and move.

well...

I tried everything you guys said...must be the windows ...i got some viruses i while ago ...since some errors appear.I'll reinstall Maya.I'll let you know if the problem persists.Thank you!
