Introduction to Maya - Modeling Fundamentals Vol 2
This course will look in the fundamentals of modeling in Maya with an emphasis on creating good topology. It's aimed at people that have some modeling experience in Maya but are having trouble with complex objects.

Nearly finished, not happy with the gun outlines though (although now that ive uploaded it it looks a lot better against a white background)
This will be the last kirby i model before i get animating

I might change the mouth and add an ammo belt

smoking kirby??

there's something totally wrong with that! user added image

yeah, you need to change the mouth so that the cigar doesn't look like it's an accidental mistake

that's a "Ch" pronounced as a "K"

Are there non-accidental mistakes?

some people might make a mistake on purpose to screw something up on for some reasons unknown to the observers

Looking good! Just an idea, maybe if you "round out" the end of the cigar a bit, give it a bit of depth, it'll fit better, that way you don't have to change the traditional Kirby mouth. But all in all loving it, makes me want to play 80's games, may have to take a maya break and break out rainbow island...

Ive finished rigging him (i had to re-rig him because the original rig didnt allow the legs to move the way i wanted them to (I hate the paint weights tool)) and ive started on the walk cycle but im going to have to start again because there is a major problem with the rig

BTW here is a little playblast of the walk cycle in its VERY EARLY stages (its .zip but open it with quicktime (you may have to change the extension to .mov) (it might even unzip properly, but i didnt actually zip it, it was just a work around so i could upload it)

Update: rig problem solved

to do list: walk cycle
meta knights cape plus shoulder outline
Star kirby
splinter cell kirby
pokemon trainer kirby
metaknight + kirby star fight?
