It depends who your working for.... a big company, or an individual. If your worried about asking for too much money, ask for services or products. For example: I was recently approached by a small Ferrari dealership that was interested in me modeling some art for their website. They asked me for a quote... I gave them a flat rate of $1,500. They weren't too happy, so I said IF they included a Ferrari as part of the payment (even second hand) I would take 50% off of my asking price.... I haven't heard back from them yet, BUT I'm holding strong.... I'm not going to fold.
