Introduction to Maya - Modeling Fundamentals Vol 2
This course will look in the fundamentals of modeling in Maya with an emphasis on creating good topology. It's aimed at people that have some modeling experience in Maya but are having trouble with complex objects.

is it possible to run two maya applications simultaniously in windows 7 i have tried it but one window wont loadmental ray

Works fine for me. Though I had to reload Mental Ray when I opened the second copy of Maya.

Windows>> Setting/ Prefs>> Plugin manager>> mayatomr

Got two copy's of 2010, 2008 an 2009 open right now with no problems what so ever

i get this error

maybe something to do with your PC setup - I have always been able to open more than one Maya but with this new i7 I have had four versions open at the same time.

Never really needed to have more than one open though

i have the q6600 i dont think ill get the i7 processors yet i read somewhere maya drops some cores when rendering and then theres the price tag ill give them some time to drop

I can run 3+ maya's on my PC with no problem just run them user added image

Just a note on the i7, I've never had it drop cores while rendering. Just my experience. But yeah, wait till the hexacores drop in price...

Yer I paid £999.99 for me new PC - but did come with a kick ass monitor and Blu Ray player
