Get halfway through a model and find it's an unworkable mess? Can't add edge loops where you need them? Can't subdivide a mesh properly? If any of this sounds familiar check this course out.
Hey there
I thought I might start this as a personal learning project, and see how far it goes
I have a bonnet so far (WOW! )
Will post some images when i get at least a fender done.
I hope the BPs and references are nice to me hehe.
Edit: Fender is almost done, things are looking bright.

no it isnt, it just something I'm doing by myself, to figure out everything myself
I feel I learn better that way.
Im Just contemplating what to do next on it, weather to extrude the bonnet faces across to do the fenders or not. Should be fun.
hmmm you sound like me LOL...well good luck with it. You have used other 3D apps before I take it?
I havent done a car...dont interest me yet..Im more of an aeroplane type....or kick arse mech warrior..he he he he
good luck with it then...where the hell did you get ortho planes for it?? or are you just working of ref's from the net? Or own one..something about Kiwis and old cars?? LOL

haha, I think its something in the genes... nah Theres just something about a BDA escort that gets me going. that and the old Quattros, Im going to try get my hands on a GT coupe sometime next year (gotta love the V5 ) um, the BPs are from the-Blueprints and im just using what little ref photos are out there to try make this look decent.
Few more shots to show off, only tweaking needs to be done on the fender to match up with the bonnet now (I think), then its on to figuring out how to curve it into what is the front bumper of the car.
Pretty neat mate...you have a few triangles in there...try to keep them to a minimum or in hidden areas. The bonnet doesnt quite match?? how does it look when you smooth preview?

Yeah, trying to figure out the triangles is very irritating, i need to match the fender to the bonnet too yeah, smooth looks alright but needs touching up. and Yes I am using blueprints
Update for everyone ^^
Hope you have/had a good new year so far... As for this escort, Im making all the basic shapes of the roof, rear, doors etc and going to add more res to them one by one. Who knows, might end up being an escort concept..
