Maya for 3D Printing - Rapid Prototyping
In this course we're going to look at something a little different, creating technically accurate 3D printed parts.

Dont think this is going to happen...would be brilliant if it did, but on Gamearena they say its a dud.

To a person that didn't play the first one, it looks like just another Halo/Half-life lookalike. Maybe with some more humor (and sex)? I'm surprised that the graphics don't look as good as they should for being in development for 12 years... But who knows how many it actually was in "development" ;p

Anyone else notice they used the same music from the trailer of Scott Pilgrim?

Actually, it kind of makes sense. Early on in development I'd guess they'd need to pick an engine and develop on that, right? If they started development a couple years ago, they'd be using a much more advanced engine and be able to include much better lighting and detail.

They just couldn't keep ahead of the curve. They would start production with one engine, and a knew engine would come out and blow away the previous "best" and they'd have no choice but to start over.

And I agree with NextDesign, the graphics seem kinda poor...They originally started with the Quake II engine, then the Unreal, then a vastly improved Unreal Engine. So sticking to an old engine isn't the reason for the poor graphics (I say poor relative to the games it'll be competing with).

But that's how I heard it.

3D Realms had a good chunk of it done, so I imagine Gearbox just finished off what they had considering they picked it up not too long ago.

This video was released sometime last year I believe, and it gives a good indication of how much 3D Realms had done. Too bad they couldn't finish it.

"but they made one mistake... they took our women"
hah!

i've not played the original but i imagine if this game were real it'd be heading the same way as every other pc game is where you have to sign in and be connected to the internet to play. so if you dont have internet or if you want to play offline it's very difficult to do anything...
