Beer glass scene creation
This course contains a little bit of everything with modeling, UVing, texturing and dynamics in Maya, as well as compositing multilayered EXR's in Photoshop.

website layout

Hi,

I've started to build a website, only layout at the moment but links are navigable.

It's very simple, which is what I want, but I think it may perhaps be too simply, and that the black background will be to dark for some.

Video and thubnail gallery to be added later, where you would expect them

thanks,

g

I like simple, however the black and white contrast is murdering me here. Deep dark gray instead?

Thanks - that's the kind of straightforward crit I'm looking for!

I was thinking of changing it to a dark grey. I'll canvas a few more opinions and show it around a little before I commit to any changes.

Any other crits welcomed.

cheers

I agree with Gen about the white on black, I would go with grey on black. Can't really comment on the rest as it isn't my style though :p

don't try and smooth out the contrast entirely because if there is no contrast worth mentioning it's hard to read .
I would advise to stay away from absolute/hard colors, meaning never go full white, but make it a bit creme like or light grey.

Thanks for the comments - Mastone I think I will have a look at adding some subtle colouring into the white areas.
