I can create my char and then add clothes?

Sorry for the question. I try to explain better:

I am new to Maya, and let me know if I can create my character more, or no clothes, what would be the body, and then create clothing or parts of clothing and into my game, put them automatically ...

I mean if I have to create all the actor, with all varieties of clothes, or I can make the actor, and then the clothes part?

If anyone doesn't understand me, only tell me. Im Spanish and my english is so bad... Sorry. Im working on that.

Sure, you can create the clothes after the fact. The only problem being that the polygons on the character's body will be added to the polygons of the clothes.

Eg: Clothes polycount: 2150
Body polycount: 4250

Total polycount: 6400

If you modeled the body, and the clothes together, you could eliminate some of those 4250 polygons.

Imagination is more important than knowledge.
