Maya 2020 fundamentals - modelling the real world
Get halfway through a model and find it's an unworkable mess? Can't add edge loops where you need them? Can't subdivide a mesh properly? If any of this sounds familiar check this course out.

ctrl+a, (the attribute editor) alternatively you can hit the middle button on the top right corner (i'm looking at 2009, not sure if it's changed since then)

that's a "Ch" pronounced as a "K"

Computer skills I should have:
Objective C, C#, Java, MEL. Python, C++, XML, JavaScript, XSLT, HTML, SQL, CSS, FXScript, Clips, SOAR, ActionScript, OpenGL, DirectX
Maya, XSI, Photoshop, AfterEffects, Motion, Illustrator, Flash, Swift3D

There is none built in by default. But you can make one. The command you want is under the display category in the hot key editor and is called "ToggleToolSettings".

i've started using maya 2011 and use the scroll wheel over the tabs to cycle between tools/channel box and attributes. Does anyone know if i can move the tabs to be at the top of the attributes window rather than at the side? also i'd like the channel box to switch back to being narrow, at present it stays as wide as the attributes window.
ta.

I just tear off most of the panels and put them on my second monitor. The joys of having multiple monitors no more crowded work spaces user added image

Lol crowded desktop (actual wooden structure) I suppose, but digital space is more important user added image At least when actually working in the digital world.

I do recommend having a separate place for sketching than at your computer. Too much time in one room can kill even the most creative mind.

Sorry to Hijack this thread.

Honestdom if you do have any influence I would really push for getting another monitor having two monitors increased my productivity tons. If nothing else ask if you can bring in your own monitor if the PC will support it if not try out one of these they actually work pretty well.

Then if you can prove that having two monitors is worth production time maybe your company will buy in.
