Over the last couple of years UV layout in Maya has changed for the better. In this course we're going to be taking a look at some of those changes as we UV map an entire character
Hi! I've used Maya for some time now, but never felt like I mastered it. I guess it is like that for most artists using this huge complex program.
Right now I'm brushing up on my modeling skills because it has been a while since I actually did any modeling in Maya. I've used Modo for that, but now I want to use one application for both modeling / texturing, rendering and animation with physics to do justice to this great program!
I'm watching the Interior scene tutorial now, and I have watched many of the Digital Tutors tuts lately and the difference is incredible! With DT I'm spinning my thumbs around waiting for the instructor to actually DO something reasonable and not blabber about on every unthinkable thing, but with SimplyMaya tutorials I can barely hang on with the instructor and pausing and rewinding all the time. That's the way I like it!
Very good quality on these videos I would say. It reminds me of the workshops from the Gnomon school from time to time.
Thanks for the feedback it's much appreciated. If you get into dynamics you should check out the things we're putting out on Maya fluids and nparticles at the moment, they're stuffed with information but they run at a fast pace as well.
