Maya for 3D Printing - Rapid Prototyping
In this course we're going to look at something a little different, creating technically accurate 3D printed parts.

Setting a bunch of points to zero?

I'm trying to find the correct way to set the XYZ value of a bunch of points, or edge and faces for that matter. Basically if Ive cut an object in half and discarded one half, I'm trying to neaten up the middle edge alignment so that the objects geometry can be mirrored and the points in the middle be merged, so they all need to be set to 0 on the X.
Any suggestions?

When you select the verts...go to the tool settings and UNTICK 'Retain component spacing' then hold down the X key when you move and they will all snap to the grid...mirror and merge.

Cheers bullet

You can also select them and type 0 in the absolute transform box.

Thank you, the video explained a lot, and the other suggestion using absolute transform, seems so obvious...now!
Thank you both.
