Maya 2020 fundamentals - modelling the real world
Get halfway through a model and find it's an unworkable mess? Can't add edge loops where you need them? Can't subdivide a mesh properly? If any of this sounds familiar check this course out.

painting weights with new vertex

Hi, i am using maya 2011. When i have skinned my character and started painting weights, i realised that when i added new edge loops, i cant paint the weights of the new vertex.

I dont want to reskin again so is there any way to fix it? thanks

Just detach the skin and re attach....thats all I know unless you can add...I have similar troubles in Surveyors software...the mesh doesnt recognise new verts..so I have to remesh...I assume Maya is similar.
