CV Curve Tool problems

I have created a curve with the CV Curve tool. When I want to move a control vertex by highlighting it the curve turns many different colors and many points near the point I want move also move. I only want the one control vertex to move. I know this can be done - seen it done on a video.

Please help.

I found the answer myself. Uncheck soft selection in the move tool settings.
