modeling teqniques for hair
I was watching vexille the other day and it led me to a question about some of the characters hair styles. I'm having trouble visually breaking down how I would go about modeling/texturing hair styles like this.

What would be some good techniques/approaches to come up with something like this? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

watch all 1, 2 and 3. its pretty simple stuff, i belive the hair style you want to make will be fairly easy.
