Need help

Hi,
could somebody tell me which tools I need to use in Maya 2012 to get results like on this picture:

I´m always working with the extrude tool to build up my models.



I can't speak english very good.I´m from Germany.

I would be willing to bet that model is done in ZBRUSH not Maya. They may have built the base mesh in Maya but all the detail looks more like it was sculpted. The details would then be reapplied to the base mesh as a displacement texture map if they are using a maya -> zbrush -> maya workflow. It could also be retopo'd.
