shader conversions

Hello, I hope you can help

I'm trying to convert a 3ds max file with vray shaders into lovely maya. I have so far found a script to convert the vray shader into the MR arch and design shaders which I have in the past been led to believe are very similar to the mia_materials.

and I have moved most of the objects with uvs overtomaya via fbx.

Im really just looking for suggestions as to how to recreate the shaders in maya without having to rebuild from scratch.

Thanksin advance

Hate to say it but your probably going to be better of rebuilding the shaders from scratch.

hey, thanks for your reply. I had an inkling that they would need rebuilding, i just needed someone to tell it to me straight.
