I'm using Maya 2012.
Earlier today I was working in maya and had saved my file. Now I come back to open the file to see that the object I was working on 3 hours ago is now missing from the viewport. The object is in the outliner, I've selected it and made sure it wasn't hidden, its on a visible layer, I assigned a new material to it, but still nothing, I tried exporting it as a .obj and then importing it into a new file, however in the new file its also invisible!!
I've spent over 8 hours working on it and I really don't want to re-start it - has anyone got a solution to this problem?
