Proper Joint Placement

Hey all.

Where might you all place joints for the legs and hips? I'm not sure what would be good for proper placement.

Any ideas?

Also, since he's cartoony should I draw a straight spine as most say? or follow the arc of his body so that his neck aligns properly? I know I could put out some "volume" joints to take up some slack when painting weights, but I'm not real sure of the proper placement at this point.

Where should I end the spine also? I mean where would the neck jointroot and end be? Very odd character.

either one for spine?

I know that my legtrash joints(end joints) will have to be moved slightly and so forth, but which drawing of the spine is better or neither?
