Several questions on importing weights

Hey All.

I have a question, well several. I had to redo the skin bind on my model because it had too much history on it. I proceeded by deleting the history, reattching a new skin bind, all clean, then I imported the previous file with all my painted skin weights(well assigned not painted(flooded via vert select)). It's all good, well sort of except I also had skin cluster/wire deformers for various areas that obviously are no longer attached because they were attached to the old skin.

Is there a way of transferring those wire deformer weights onto the new skin? I see there's an import button, but I havent been able to find a way to use it properly (.xml file extension?).

Also is there a way to view ALL the skinclusters to get rid of ones that aren't being used anymore? As you will see in my file, there are 5 total and only 3 I know of are actually being used at this time.

I know my "weights" aren't near done, but I had other issues and finally got those resolved, forgive the mess.

Other than that I think that's it.

thanks!

you could just use "remove non-deformer history" function.

Too late now...but also when I DID use that, there was too much history...and Maya 2014 crashed.
