Maya for 3D Printing - Rapid Prototyping
In this course we're going to look at something a little different, creating technically accurate 3D printed parts.

Sky color?

Hi all,
I'm creating a street in Maya and it's pretty much done. Used phyiscal sun and sky for lighting and when I create a render from a single frame (mental ray) the sky looks blue and natural, but when I hit batch render to render the entire project the sky turns black and the lighting is reduced? Can anyone help me resolve this problem?

Hi Gen,

It was already set on camera1 in the render settings, it's a 450 frame clip in which the building collapses and the camera moves through the street. A single render shows a natural, realistic blue-ish sky while the entire, final render shows a black sky and less lighting.. even though I changed the night and foreground color of the physical sky.. I'm so confused

It works! I suppose the physical sun and sky was connected to the perspective view and not to the camera view, rendering all 450 frames now user added image

In that case, no need to recreate the sky or have any particular camera view active, the "Update Camera Connections" button in the physical sky's attribute editor will make the necessary connections to all the perspective cameras in the scene.
