Problem with nCloth/Duplicate Special

Hi,

I have finished my model. I created one side and used duplicate special to create the other side.
As you can see, my character is wearing some sort of skirt which I would like to convert to nCloth so that it can move in wind/turbulence when I render it.
But once I apply the nCloth, one side of the skirt disappears(on the side that is a duplicate..) here you can see what I mean.
What did i do wrong?

(before applying nCloth)

(after applying nCloth)

The wireframe is still there, but the faces are gone. Even when I render it.

Also it seems like the image is still split, but when I press combine it gets all mashed up..

Check to see if you have flipped the normals To do this go to the lighting tab and uncheck two sided lighting. If one side turns black then use reverse normals to flip them the same way.
