How to duplicate a rig properly

Hello everyone,

I am trying to duplicate a rigged character in my scene, but I see that the duplicated body is not binded to the duplicated skeleton... I do not have much experience in Maya. How can i have this new rig working properly?

Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks.
