Maya 2020 fundamentals - modelling the real world
Get halfway through a model and find it's an unworkable mess? Can't add edge loops where you need them? Can't subdivide a mesh properly? If any of this sounds familiar check this course out.

Don't select the image plane in the camera views. Open Hypershade and select the image plane plane under the Cameras tab and then add it to the render layer.
Alternatively, look at the attributes of the imagePlaneShape node and scroll down to "Object Display". Select the "Template" option.

I noticed now you are using Maya 2013. Select the camera for which the image plane was created and add the camera to the layer.
