This course will look at the fundamentals of modeling in Maya with an emphasis on creating good topology. We'll look at what makes a good model in Maya and why objects are modeled in the way they are.
I'm currently working on my first project in Maya. It's a (mayor) learingcurve but I'm havin' fun. For the project that I started I need to have numbers before the instance / object name. Maya doesn't allow me (yet?). Is there any way to overcome this issue?
you cant, generally the number has to be the suffix of the object....
EG: Roundthing_1 or Roundthing01 etc and so on. if you duplicate anything in maya the number is thrown on the end everytime. It makes sense to have it this way in my opinion anyway
You could try a naming system using this method: roundthing1PLY basically this is the object followed by the number and then the surface type
