Learning how to draw

I am and always have been absolutley terrible at drawing... And now I would like to learn.

What's the method to learn?? I'd take a class or something, but I'm soooo bad it would be embarassing lol. Any good books or online books on the subject that somebody could recommend ?

Best way to learn how to draw, in order of preference:

1. Take a drawing class. Don't worry about being bad. Everyone starts somewhere. If you're really concerned about it, then take a basic class where everyone is at the same level.

2. Take a drawing class.

3. Pick up a book or two. "Drawing on the Right Side of the Brain" and "The Vilppu Drawing Manual" are two very good ones.

4. Take a drawing class. user added image

Hmm maybe I'll pick up the book, practice very much and then take a class...

I'd take a class that would fit my skill level, but I think I'm a bit too old for preschool :p

I've been drawing for a long time, but I still can't say I'm all that great. But in any case, I guess comic books were a big part of my drawing. 'course, I was a kid at the time. user added image

Me and my buddies would draw comics and trade them... eventually, mine got signifigantly better than theirs. lol
