object glow

Hello Everyone,

I've noticed when using object glow..the glow touches everyone object surrounding it. Is there a way to tell the glow to ignore certain objects. For example if I have a glow next to two spheres side by side, can I tell the glow to bounce off of one sphere and ignore the other? The reason is because I am thinking of mapping an image of stars to a plane and I don't want the glow to effect the plane. I hope I'm making myself clear?

Thanks,
TC

I'm not sure if you can do it with object glows (you can use the light linker to tell lights to light objects or not) One way to do it would be to render the plane and the stars on different layers that way they wouldnt affect each other. Then as long as the stars have an alpha channel you'll be ok.

Hmmm never thought of doing it that way. I'll give it a try.

Thanks Pure_Morning,
