No Maya with internet on!

Can anyone explain to me why I cant start Maya up while im conected to the internet, (cant find license) appears.
If I disconnect the internet then start up It runs beautifully on my AMD XP

UMM.. If its a licenced copy maya you should have no problems, call there support... I know maya needs to lock on to your system address.
