Complex UV Layout in Maya
Over the last couple of years UV layout in Maya has changed for the better. In this course we're going to be taking a look at some of those changes as we UV map an entire character

I-Iybrid and baby duck. Good feedback I did notice the none matching grass refl. and will work on the PFX shader on that. Also Baby I do have a refl. cranked way up and a fractal would hurt me either. I also think the trees in the background need to be a bit smaller. I must not forget to the fog, but don't know If I should use Fluids or just a regular Maya fog node. I want to get a good light effect when the sunlight is breaking through the clouds.

i suggest to use regular fog. fluids is overkill for just athmosphere (if you ask me). for the suneffects - what about using a shader infront of the light with some spots in it that are brighter? that might turn into very cloudy and just breaking up sun - like right after it is raining and sun coming. and maybe a rainbow would be cool to see user added image

fixed the refl. a bit
added some volume fog to the scene

that is looking great, but the sky texture is a little bit too big. especially the clouds are not that big at horizon user added image

I worked on the cloud texture. The clouds were original created in Fluids and than did a quick render. I have applied it to a plane with trans.

BTW, not that this helps, but the reason fur does not show up in reflections, is it is a post render feature, theres a way to do a reflection by using an image texture for the reflective surface, although as you change things in the scene it would be quite annoying to constantly update. If you wished you got do that for the final.

I did not think I would go this far with this scene but I did yet another update. DOF, and a windmill. I might end up adding a few rocks to the lanscape.
