This course will look at the fundamentals of modeling in Maya with an emphasis on creating good topology. We'll look at what makes a good model in Maya and why objects are modeled in the way they are.
If you have a moment for a tech question I was wondering how to unsmooth geometry that has had its history deleted. I know geometry that has not had history deleted can be unsmoothed by going into the hypergraph and finding and deleting the smooth nodes. But, once history is deleted those nodes don’t appear anymore. I have a mesh of a character that I’m playing with but the smoothed version really slows down the screen updates. I wanted to unsmooth it but can’t seem to discover a way to do that since the history has been deleted. I’m using Maya 4.5 on a PC. Any thoughts? As always, any suggestions are greatly appreciated.
