very nice work there Pure_Morning. I like the little spiders the best.
The lumbering one's movements don't quite look spiderlike though his appearance is great.
Great dof work. Nice animation.
Check out the subsurfacescattering on my tongue...

really nice work indeed, very inspiring.
i have to agree ereitz though, the big ones movement is slightly strange, the littles are perfect though.
good job on the dof by the way

That's looking great, I really like the colours on the spiders. It's been really interesting watching along as you build this; thanks for sharing it!

yeah the movement of the big one in that shot is a little odd, it's because the c++ proggy tends to make them turn on the spot which is annoying as all hell and so they tend to walk on the spot which looks crap! but this next one should be a lot better
this one is colour corrected and the dof has been tweaked a little
Ps. I'm glad if people are enjoying this thread, it's a massive pain in the rear for me! If anybody ever has any questions regarding it at all then feel free to ask I'm more than willing to share the info. I'll post all my textures and scripts and scene files at the end so that people can have a look at it.

cheers rage, I'm sooo frustrated with it today I'm finding it really hard just to get the final stuff done!
As far as the sliding goes, i think it's the lack of strong shadows that causing that to look like it's happening.
I'm trying to sort the shadows...
