Introduction to Maya - Rendering in Arnold
This course will look at the fundamentals of rendering in Arnold. We'll go through the different light types available, cameras, shaders, Arnold's render settings and finally how to split an image into render passes (AOV's), before we then reassemble it i

Hey Bri,

I remember you also started a robot along time ago that kinda reminded me of those little junkshop droids in SW: Phantom Menace....had 3 headlights in the forehead area. Did you ever finish? I still want to pick your brain sometime about the headlight shaders.

I'm averaging 37Kbps. user added image

Hey Brian, is this your first reel? What you want to do is ALWAYS put your best stuff up front. I agree about the alien... Scrap it. It just doesn't stand up to the rest of the reel. And also about holding longer on the truck when it gets smashed. Either that or do a slow-mo of it getting crushed. (btw - how'd you do that?)

As for everything else, looks good. I would hold on the stills at least 3 seconds, but not necessary. They can always pause the tape.

Good luck, I'm sure you'll get hired with this reel.

BTW - you still never told us what company is hiring you. :p

Hey guys thanks for the support. Yeah, the order and stuff is pretty crappy... There are alot of things that I want to change, and replace with other stuff... I am working on that... But I only had like 8 hrs to do all of the sorting thru the models, animation, all the premieer stuff, and somehow puttin it on tape and I had to make it to the post office b4 5... pretty busy day... But... I am taking a break now... Just waiting for a response...again user added image Um. I will let you guys know where in a little bit. user added image but its no where to big.. not yet anyways, but it is a foot in the door, and I get to work on film projects, so its really good for me...

Also, My matchmoving reel is so much better than this modeling demoreel. I will try to post a version of that for you guys this weekend, its much better, I have been working on that for quite a while now. The modeling demo wasn't really made for the position that I was applying for, they just wanted to see what else I could do beside my matchmoving. I guess thats why I didn't really worruy about the alien, just because I didn't think that this reel would hurt my chances, if I have any anyways. If I were to be applying for a modeling position somewhere, I would put alot more effort into it. Talk to you later, thanks again for all your comments, I plan on fixing all of those things soon

Also how did I do that?? that particular crash took about 131 blendshapes, controlled by SDK. Yeah, thats alot, but i had over 200 more, to simulate side and a front crash. I made these, because I wanted to do a camera track with the jeep getting into an accident, Like hitting a tree head on, or something falling on it.
So, it would be really easy to exagerate it, make it slow mo, and focus more on it... Witch I think I will do now user added image
